At Sangin Instruments, we strive to make products with meaning. Designed and developed to take authentic and reproduction World War II Frog Skin camouflage shelter half(s) and repurpose them for meaningful daily use as watch/gear rolls. The perfect material to keep three timepieces safe while traveling and an extra spot for a replacement strap.  Built with the heritage and craftsmanship to ensure that they will last for generations to come.

The M1942 Frog Skin pattern was originally designed and tested in 1940 by the US Army Corps of Engineers. However, this first attempt of the disruptive camouflage was shelved until 1942. The first to be issued the Frog Skin uniforms were the Marine Raiders. Uniforms were received with a reversible  pattern; a jungle pattern with a green background on one side and a beach pattern with a tan background on the other side.

After World War II, the United States sold the Frog Skin pattern to be used by the French Parachute Regiments in the First Indochina War. The Central Intelligence Agency later issued the pattern to the Cuban exiles for the Bay of Pigs Invasion. Finally, being used by the U.S. Special Forces for guerrilla warfare activities with the Montagnard during the Vietnam War.

Change can be unpredictable. It can be uncertain, unexpected, and fleeting.

Time is dependable. It's unchanging, expected, and consistent. It works like clockwork because it is, well, clockwork.

But through all the inconsistencies the future holds, one thing stays constant: the basics of time. And with Sangin, we brought out the brilliance in the basics. Sangin is the constant through it all.

For whoever you are and wherever life takes you, each piece we produce is put through a rigorous quality control inspection. We work tirelessly to ensure each timepiece at Sangin is as timeless and dependable as time itself.
