When it came to designing the NEPTUNE, we wanted people to feel confident in the reliability of our dive watch. NEPTUNE is the result of two years of development, prototyping, and testing. We had experienced divers and engineers from the special operations community and MIT fielding NEPTUNE, resulting in multiple revisions and iterations on the texture of the crown, crown guard, spring-bars, and bezel insert materials. We tested a multitude of bezels to ensure that its seal is tight, but loose enough to allow subsurface manipulation with gloves. Once the prototype was finalized the real-world testing began.

This was a special project with 60 veterans, active-duty service members, and scientists from MIT & Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute that field-tested the NEPTUNE for over 300k hours combined, all over the world with zero issues. We also put NEPTUNE through an independent third-party testing company to ensure it exceeds the ISO 6425 standards for diver's watches. Just like we earn our right to wear our various badges and unit crests in the military, Sangin Instruments has earned the right to use terms anti-magnetic, shock-resistant, chemical resistant, and DIVER'S WATCH.

WITH YOU

Change can be unpredictable. It can be uncertain, unexpected, and fleeting.

Time is dependable. It's unchanging, expected, and consistent. It works like clockwork because it is, well, clockwork.

But through all the inconsistencies the future holds, one thing stays constant: the basics of time. And with Sangin, we brought out the brilliance in the basics. Sangin is the constant through it all.

For whoever you are and wherever life takes you, each piece we produce is put through a rigorous quality control inspection. We work tirelessly to ensure each timepiece at Sangin is as timeless and dependable as time itself.
